Tipping

Group tour
Tour tipping is an element of nowadays tourism industry, and therefore it is expected in Vietnam. Usually, the tipping is to pay for tour guides, drivers, porters and other people assisting you during the trip. Understanding that many of our customers are uncertain about the tipping amount, we will advise you on a standard tipping amount. We will be responsible for distributing the fee appropriately. If you go on a multi-country trip, the tipping amount will be paid either to us in full or when you arrive at each country. If the tipping amount is not handled by us (stated), the advised tipping amount will be given by you to the local tour guide.
We will show the advised tipping amounts and other essential information in your travel guidance’s final documents.

Short stay
Tipping for short stay is not compulsory. However, tipping is appreciated and the guides and drivers normally receive them from tourists. We will indicate the advised tipping amounts for the local guides and drivers in your travel guidance’s final documents. Please be reminded that tipping is only at discretion of individual.

Shopping

Shopping in Vietnam can be interesting. We have included a reasonable number of visits to local stores, government factories that not only provide an opportunity to purchase a locally produced, but also great-value souvenir. Please be advised that this might vary depending on local conditions, and definitely won’t interfere with your itinerary listed sightseeing. Likewise, we ensure our visiting shop have a reputation for quality, originality and honesty. We do our best to ensure our customers won’t get ripped off.

Food

The costs of listed meals are included. We usually provide breakfast in buffet style at your stay-in hotel, where you can find both local food and Western food according to your preference. Lunches and dinners are traditional reputable restaurants’ delicacies. The food is catered to the majority to ensure they are not too spicy or taste strange.
Drinks will be at each own expense. Beer is common and cheap. Bottled water, juices & sodas are also widely available – please be advised that you should only have ice or fruit juices from a trustworthy restaurant to prevent any undesirable event during the trip. Western wines are expensive and rarely available at normal restaurant.
Black tea (commonly known as Lipton by locals), coffee and baguettes are widely available in most places. However, fresh dairy milk is usually not served because they are not favored by locals, but many restaurants will provide this if requested. Local people usually consume sweet condensed milk with their tea and coffee. Iced coffee with milk (‘Cafe Sua-da’) is significant choice among locals.
