Itinerary

Day 1: Australia – Hanoi

Depart from your home to Hanoi – Vietnam Capital. Welcome at the airport and our tour guide will meet and take you to the city center for check in and stay overnight at hotel in Hanoi.

Day 2: Hanoi city tour

This morning you will take the city tour to Vietnam’s first university, the thousand-year-old Temple of Literature, Ho Chi Minh complex and Tran Quoc Pagoda.
Optional tour: Hanoi Street food (SIC, dinner tour)
You will have a taste of Northern Vietnamese delicacies such as: stuffed pancake, banh my, stuffed sticky rice balls, the unique egg coee and many more.

Day 3: Hanoi – Halong Bay

Take a 3.5 hours transfer from Hanoi to Halong, one of the World Seven Wonders. You will embark on a day cruise for tour around the bay and visit to one of the most beautiful caves in Halong Bay. Enjoy dinner and stay overnight on Junk.

Day 4: Halong Bay – Hanoi – Danang – Hoian

Early awake for Tai Chi lesson on the top deck. Or simply relax and enjoy the sunrise. Later on, prepare to explore nearby islands by rowboat. Return to the junk for breakfast. Later on, return to Hanoi and board a flight to Danang. On arrival, warmly greeted by tour guide for your transfer to Ancient Town Hoi An.

Day 5: Hoi An Walking Tour

After breakfast, you will explore Hoi An’s bustling local market and other attractions with unique architecture such as Hoi An Museum, Old Merchants’ House, Assembly Hall and the Japanese Covered Bridge. Enjoy a stroll along the peaceful Thu Bon River, once the world’s famous trading port.
Optional tour: Hoi An Cooking Class
This optional tour will introduce you to Vietnamese cuisine. Chef will demonstrate the cooking process. Then you cook by yourself under chef ‘s observant. After finishing the course, it will comes a great time to enjoy your own food.

Day 6: Hoi An – Danang – Saigon – City Tour

This morning, you will leave Hoi An for flight to Saigon. On arrival, meet and take you to visit a brief Saigon tour including: Notre Dame Cathedral, Post Office, War Remnant Museum and walking around at Ben Thanh market. Late afternoon, check in at hotel in Saigon.

Day 7: Saigon – Mekong Delta optional tour

Today you are free at leisure or buy an optional tour to Mekong Delta (lunch)
Start your Mekong Delta exploring to Ben Tre Province to embark on board cruise on Ben Tre river (one of tributaries of Mekong river, sight-seeing lively activities along river as fishing, water transferring). Stop at brickwork to see how to make bricks in handy traditional style by printing and baking. Next, visit one of plenty of coconut processing workshops located along canal. Turn on natural scissors creeks where they look smaller and smaller to go to village and take a walk to family workshop making sleep mats and enjoying some fruits and tea. Continue taking a motor cart (xe lôi) or cycle riding under tree shades, pass by green rice ­fields and vegetable plains to be able to touch on really life and find out about tropical culture from peasants. Lunch is served at the restaurant riverside. Afternoon, you take rowing-boat along water palm creek and boat back to Hung Vuong Pier, where your transport is waiting back to Saigon.

Day 8: Saigon – Siem Reap

Today you are free at leisure till we transfer to the airport for flight to Siem Reap (Cambodia) in the afternoon.
Optional tour: Cu Chi Tunnels (lunch)
You will have a half day visiting Cu Chi Tunnels. At its height, the tunnel system stretched over 250km from Saigon to the Cambodian border and was three levels deep. The network included innumerable trap doors, specially constructed living areas, storage facilities, weapons factories, ­field hospitals, command centers and kitchens. Today the remaining tunnels have become a major tourist attraction giving the visitor a unique experience and a feel of what underground life during the U.S – Vietnam. Lunch is served at local restaurant. Return to Saigon this afternoon for flight to Siem Reap. On arrival, meet and transfer to the hotel. Free at leisure and stay overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 9: Siem Reap

Today will be your leisure day. However, we have an exciting optional tour waiting.
Option tour to the mystical Angkor temples:
Travel to Angkor Wat, a world heritage site with soaring towers and extraordinary bas reliefs. It is one of the most amazing man-made monuments in the world. Next stop will be the ancient Ta Prohm Monastery where immense branches have taken root in the stones. Observe some splendid sculptured Devatas and an atmosphere that is unique. Later on, visit Angkor Thom and the famous Bayon of the 12th and 13th centuries.

Day 10: Siem Reap – Tonle Sap Lake optional tour

You are free today or buy an option tour to Tonle Sap Lake.
Start your trip with Kampong Kleang, a floating village on the Tonle Sap Lake, and as yet bypassed by mass tourism. All the houses are on stilts offering an exceptional natural environment with breathtaking views of floodplains, rice fields and water vistas as far as the eye can see. Walk through the village meeting the locals and a family who raises crocodiles. Afterwards, travel by boat over the canals to a large lake where Vietnamese people live when they are displaced from their homes because of the seasons. Then we return to the hotel for relaxing.

Day 11: Siem Reap – Drive to Phnom Penh

Today you will leave Siem Reap in the morning to Phnom Penh capital. You will have 6 hour driving and arrive Phnom Penh in the afternoon. Check in your hotel and spend your free time at leisure here.

Day 12: Phnom Penh city tour

This morning, we will journey to Phnom Penh significances: Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda, National Museum and Wat Ounalom. Afterwards, enjoy seeking for unique souvenirs at Central Market. Watch Royal Dance rehearsal by the Apsara Arts Association during lunchtime. Later on, discover place where journalists camped on the eve of the Khmer Rouge takeover, following by the exciting ghostly building. Touring to Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, a former school served as Khmer Rouge torture center. Then journey to the Choeung Ek Killing Field, monument of tortured victims. Finally, tasting some Khmer snacks while learning how bloody history still haunting Cambodian lives.

Day 13: Phnom Penh – Australia by Vietnam Airlines

Today you will enjoy free time at leisure until late check–out. We will transfer you to the Airport for your return flight home.

Visa

Visitors to Vietnam must hold a valid passport. Passport must be valid six months beyond the returning day to the country of origin. A single entry visa should be arranged in advance to your travel. We, as your travel agent, will handle the entire visa process. Please fill out the form and send your passport to us. In return, we will email you the Visa Approval Letter and provide full support for any questions your might have when completing the form. Visas must be used within three months of being issued.

Phone Calls
You are able to make both international and domestic calls from your hotel room. Please be advised to check call charges with hotel staff or the local tour guide. The reasons are the costs could be expensive and hotel might require service charges as well.
Mobile Phones
Mobile phones are popular in Vietnam. Moreover, international roaming service is available, which means you can use your own mobile phone. Please ensure that you are aware of the costs and have activated your international roaming prior to your departure.
Internet & Email

One way to get internet connection is to visit internet cafes. This is usually the cheapest and easiest method. Almost hotels have internet access, but charge at a slightly higher rate than internet cafes. Several hotels might have Wi-Fi which usually comes with an additional cost, and might only be available in the lobbies.

Cambodia

Phone Calls
Easy make the international and domestic calls from hotel. Please note that you should check the costs before making calls. A service charge may also be involved. The international access code for Cambodia is +855. The outgoing code is 001 followed by the relevant country code (e.g. 00144 for the United Kingdom).
Mobile
There are five mobile phone service providers in CambodiaMobiTel (T) 012, Beeline (T) 090, Smart Mobile (T) 010 & 016, Cube (T) 013, MetFone (T)097. MobiTel is the most widely used network and has transmitters in all major towns, although reception is still limited to within the town boundaries
Tourists can buy Sim Card for their mobile phones at arrival terminal of all airports in Cambodia and border Checkpoint. Usage is by pre-paid phone card, available in v alues from $2 to $100; in most towns, you’ll find outlets displaying the logos of the various providers
Internet and Email
If you want to get online, do it in Phnom Penh or Siem Reap – here you’re never far from an Internet shop or café and rates are under $1 per hour.
In the provinces it’s a different matter: even in Battambang and Sihanoukville access is limited, and expensive at around $3 per hour. One of the best ways to keep in touch while traveling is to sign up for a free email address that can be accessed from anywhere, for example Yahoo Mail, Gmail, Outlook or Skype or Facebook. Once you’ve set up and send mail from any Internet Café, or from a hotel with Internet access.

Tipping

Group tour
Tour tipping is an element of nowadays tourism industry, and therefore it is expected in Vietnam. Usually, the tipping is to pay for tour guides, drivers, porters and other people assisting you during the trip. Understanding that many of our customers are uncertain about the tipping amount, we will advise you on a standard tipping amount. We will be responsible for distributing the fee appropriately. If you go on a multi-country trip, the tipping amount will be paid either to us in full or when you arrive at each country. If the tipping amount is not handled by us (stated), the advised tipping amount will be given by you to the local tour guide.
We will show the advised tipping amounts and other essential information in your travel guidance’s final documents.
 
Short stay
Tipping for short stay is not compulsory. However, tipping is appreciated and the guides and drivers normally receive them from tourists. We will indicate the advised tipping amounts for the local guides and drivers in your travel guidance’s final documents. Please be reminded that tipping is only at discretion of individual.

Shopping

Shopping in Vietnam can be interesting. We have included a reasonable number of visits to local stores, government factories that not only provide an opportunity to purchase a locally produced, but also great-value souvenir. Please be advised that this might vary depending on local conditions, and definitely won’t interfere with your itinerary listed sightseeing. Likewise, we ensure our visiting shop have a reputation for quality, originality and honesty. We do our best to ensure our customers won’t get ripped off.

Food

The costs of listed meals are included. We usually provide breakfast in buffet style at your stay-in hotel, where you can find both local food and Western food according to your preference. Lunches and dinners are traditional reputable restaurants’ delicacies. The food is catered to the majority to ensure they are not too spicy or taste strange.
Drinks will be at each own expense. Beer is common and cheap. Bottled water, juices & sodas are also widely available – please be advised that you should only have ice or fruit juices from a trustworthy restaurant to prevent any undesirable event during the trip. Western wines are expensive and rarely available at normal restaurant.
Black tea (commonly known as Lipton by locals), coffee and baguettes are widely available in most places. However, fresh dairy milk is usually not served because they are not favored by locals, but many restaurants will provide this if requested. Local people usually consume sweet condensed milk with their tea and coffee. Iced coffee with milk (‘Cafe Sua-da’) is significant choice among locals.
