Itinerary

Day 1: Bangkok

Depart for Bangkok– Thailand’s capital. You will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel for check-in.

Day 2: Bangkok

After breakfast, you will take a fascinating Bangkok City Tour to the colourful Indian Market, Wat Pho (the largest Buddhist Temple Complex in Bangkok with a giant 45-meter long reclining Buddha covered in gold leaf), Royal Avenue and the Grand Palace (a complex remains the spiritual heart of Thai Kingdom).

Day 4: Bangkok – Kanchanaburi – Bridge over River Kwai

This morning, you will travel to southwestern Bangkok to visit the vibrant Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, the world-famous market where you can observe the villagers conduct the wares and sell a variety of products such as fruits, vegetables and dry goods on board. Later on, continue to the quiet provincial capital of Kanchanaburi, well-known for the Death Railway and the eminent River Kwai Bridge built in the World War II. You will have a chance to walk over the Bridge over River Kwai, a construction costing thousands of prisioner’s sacrifice.

Day 5: Kanchanaburi – Ayutthaya – Bangkok – Hanoi

In the early morning, you will travel to Ayutthaya, a historic city awarded UNESCO World Heritage Site for its splendour of archaeological ruins and temples. Here, you can see many remaining palaces, stupas and monasteries of this former capital. After lunch, continue to the magnificent Chai Wattanaram Temple, built by King Prasat to commerate his mother’s hometown and to celebrate his coronation.  Afterwards, you will return Bangkok and take a flight to Hanoi. On arrival at Noi Bai International Airport, you will be warmly greeted by our friendly tour guide and transferred to your hotel for check-in.

Day 6: Hanoi city tour

After breakfast, you will take a half day Hanoi City Tour to Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (a monumental edifice built to commemorate the Vietnamese Revolutionary leader), One Pillar Pagoda (one of Vietnam’s two most iconic temples) and Temple of Literature (known as the first university of Vietnam). In the evening, you will watch the traditional folk performance at a Water Puppet Show.

Day 7: Hanoi – Halong Bay

Today, you will take a 3.5-hour transfer by bus from Hanoi to Halong Bay, “a spectacular seascape sculpted by nature” by UNESCO due to its breathtaking caves and limestone pillars sitting on the water. Upon arrival, you will board a ship to explore the stunning scenery with a myriad of mysterious caves of all shapes and sizes.

Day 8: Halong Bay – Hanoi

Awake early and join a Tai Chi session on the top deck or simply relax and enjoy the sunrise over the bay’s towering islands. Later on, you will explore nearby islands by rowboat then return to the junk before meeting your driver at the Halong’s jetty for a drive back to Hanoi.

Witness the vastness, the beauty and all limestone formations of World Nature Wonder – Halong Bay from the air in 25 minutes.

Enjoy a walk around the Old Quarter in the afternoon and have a taste of Northern Vietnamese delicacies such as stuffed pancake, banh my, stuffed sticky rice balls, the unique egg coffee and many more.

Day 9: Hanoi – Hoi An

Get ready for a flight to Danang. On arrival, get transferred to your hotel in Hoi An, a striking UNESCO World Heritage Site with many historic buildings and sparkling decorative elements.

Day 10: Hoi An

Today, take a walking tour to Hoi An’s highlights including the Temple Kwan, Phuc Kien Temple, Tan Ky Ancient House, Phung Hung house and Japanese Bridge. It will be an ideal day for you to learn about the fascinating stories and history of these ancient architectures. After lunch at a local restaurant, we will head back to you hotel then spend a remaining day at your leisure.

Day 11: Hoi An – Danang – Saigon city tour

This morning, get transferred to Da Nang Airport and take a flight to Saigon. On arrival in Saigon, you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel for check-in. Afterwards, you will take a half-day city tour to Saigon’s highlights including Notre Dame Cathedral, Post Office and War Remnants Museum and have fun shopping at Ben Thanh Market, one of Saigon’s oldest market selling full of things.

Day 12: Saigon Free & Easy

Spend a day at your leisure.

Optional Tour Mekong Delta (lunch included)

Embark on a cruise to Ben Tre river and visit brickwork, coconut processing workshop, a local village making sleep mattresses. Continue taking a motor cart (xe lôi) or cycling through the green rice fields and vegetable plains.

Day 13: Saigon – Cu Chi Tunnels – Siem Reap

Spend a half day to visit the famous Cu Chi Tunnels, a byzantine maze of underground passages, chambers and booby traps used by both the Viet Minh and the Viet Cong during Vietnam-US war. The tunnel system had become legendary during the 1960s as a strategic military base and underground community life.  Afterwards, we will transfer to the airport for a flight to Siem Reap, Cambodia. On arrival in Siem Reap, our tour guide will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel.

Day 14: Siem Reap – Angkor Temples

Spend a full-day tour exploring Angkor Temples. Your day starts with a visit to Angkor Wat, followed by the Ta Phrohm Monastery. In the afternoon, visit Angkor Thom then journey to the Elephant Terrace and Leper King Terrace.

Day 15: Siem Reap – Tonle Sap Lake – Phnom Penh

Today, we set off for Phnom Penh by bus, stop en route for a ride on an ox-cart used by local farmers. On arrival at Tonle Sap Lake, a UNESCO Biosphere Reverse, you will embark on a serene boat excursion to witness the riparian life on this famous waterway as well as exploring the local unique techniques used for wood sculpting, stone carving, lacquer and stone patina work.

Day 16: Phnom Penh city tour

This morning, you will take a Phnom Penh city tour to The Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda, National Museum, Wat Ounalom and Central Market. Watch the royal dance rehearsal by the Apsara Arts Association while having lunch then discover the place where journalists camped on the eve of the Khmer Rouge takeover, followed by a visit to the ghostly building. Later on, continue to Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, a former high school which was used as the notorious Security Prison 21 (S-21) by the Khmer Rouge regime before heading to Choeung Ek Killing Field to learn about the atrocities that took place here. To end your journey today, you will have a chance to taste some Khmer snacks while learning about the somber Cambodian history.

Please note that customers must book at least 90 days prior to departure to ensure your desired travel date and time.

Deposit Information

  • A deposit of NZD99 per person upon booking to secure your travel date.
  • Final Payment is due at least 60 days prior to departure. Once this payment is made, any prior payment is strictly non-refundable.
  • If the Final Payment is not completed by the due date, your booking will be cancelled and all prior payments are strictly non-refundable.
  • Invoices will be sent to you through Email, please take responsibility to ensure payments are made on time.

Tipping: Tipping is not mandatory. However, it’s appreciation and expectation. We suggest 5$/pax/day tipping.

Airline

  • Return economy airfare with Vietnam Airlines is supplied per voucher (including 1 x 30 kg checked baggage and 7 kg hand baggage per passenger)
  • Customers must send us the electrical copy of passport by scanning or taking the first page of your passport. By this way, we could secure the accuracy of your personal information to make proper reservation for you.
  • The airfare is non-refundable at all times.

Flights

  • Flight itineraries will be provided only 30 days prior to departure. If you book our tour packages within 30 days, your flight itinerary will be provided within 7 days.
  • Airline schedule may change or cancel before the itinerary and it is beyond our control. We will try utmost to assist our customers, however, the customers are also responsible for reviewing your flight schedule prior to the departure. Moreover, you can contact your Travel Insurance provider to check whether you are covered by your policy.

Arriving early/Extending your trip: NZD165 per person for trip extension or early arrivals. If you wish to extend your trip, please note in your Booking Form then we will provide quotations for you. The fee above is just administrative only, no service included.
