Itinerary

Day 1: New Zealand - Phnom Penh via Saigon

Depart for Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia, transiting in Saigon. On arrival in Cambodia, you will be taken to your hotel for check-in.

Day 2: Phnom Penh City Tour

Today, learn about Cambodia’s turbulent history as you visit the infamous Tuol Sleng Museum and Killing Fields, the infamous site of Pol Pot’s bloody Khmer Rouge regime. Later make your way to the Royal Palace. Although visitors are not allowed to get in, the beautiful building and palatial gardens are still visible from the exterior. A trip to the National Museum later rounds of the day. Return to Phnom Penh to stay overnight in your hotel.

Day 3: Phnom Penh – Siem Reap

In the morning, we will take a 5-hour drive from Phnom Penh – the capital of Cambodia to Siem Reap. The journey offers an excellent opportunity to observe rural Cambodia up-close. Stop along the way and visit a market, where every assortment of street food is available, including the Khmer favorite: fried spiders. Once you arrive in Siem Reap, you will check in your hotel and spend your free time to relax.

Day 4: Siem Reap – Angkor Temples

Early this morning, visit the breathtaking Angkor Wat. In the afternoon, journey to Angkor Thom, Elephant Terrace, Terrace of the Leper King, Bayon Temple and Ta Prohm. Enjoy a beautiful sunset from the Pre Rup temple before having dinner.

Day 5: Siem Reap

Spend a day at your leisure.

Optional Tour Tonle Sap Lake

Hop on a private boat to Tonle Sap Lake and visit floating villages with gardens, market, and restaurants all floating on water.

Day 6: Siem Reap – Luang Prabang

After breakfast, we transfer to the airport for a flight to Luang Prabang. On arrival, you will be taken to check in your hotel. In the afternoon, climb up Mount Phousi to admire the sunset and discover the H’mong night market on the way back to your hotel.

Day 7: Luang Prabang City Tour

Today, visit National Museum, Vat Xieng Thong, Vat May, Vat Visoun , Vat Aham and Vat Senna. Take a tour to TAEC, a museum of Laos ethnic minorities before coming back to your hotel.

Day 8: Luang Prabang – Pak Ou Cave – Kuang Si Waterfall

This morning, embark on a cruise upstream on Mekong River. Transfer to a breathtaking view of the Kuang Si Waterfall before heading to the mysterious Pak Ou Caves. Stop at the village of Ban Xanghai and Kuang Si Falls Buttefuly Park before crusing back to Luang Prabang.

Day 9: Luang Prabang - Hanoi

In the early morning, discover rituals of saffron-clad monks collecting sticky rice. From there, take a short visit to the morning local market near the Royal Palace. In the afternoon, take a flight to Hanoi – Vietnam’s capital. On arrival, the rest of the day at your leisure.

Optional Tour Hoa Lu – Tam Coc

Hoa Lu had been the imperial capital of many dynasties in history. Due to the natural location surrounded by mighty mountains and deep water, the citadel was considered to be the “Great Wall” of Vietnam. In the morning, arrive in Hoa Lu and start exploring the ancient kingdom with thousand-year-old buildings. Visit the famous temples worshiping the kings of Dinh & Le Dynasties before proceeding to Tam Coc. Upon arrival, enjoy your lunch before embarking on a boat trip to witness the exquisiteness of the karst formations and caves. We will travel back to Hanoi in the late afternoon.

Day 11: Hanoi City Tour

This morning, take the Hanoi city tour to Temple of Literature, Ho Chi Minh complex and Tran Quoc Pagoda.

Enjoy a walk around the Old Quarter in the afternoon and have a taste of Northern Vietnamese delicacies such as stuffed pancake, banh my, stuffed sticky rice balls, the unique egg coffee and many more.

Day 12: Hanoi – Halong Bay

This morning we drive to Halong Bay, the ‘Jewel in the Crown of Vietnam’. Arriving just before lunch, you’ll embark on a traditional Vietnamese junk boat. Take lunch on board then enjoy the fantastic views of the fabulous scenery and over 3,000 limestone islands which rise magically from the emerald waters. The limestone formations are littered with beaches, grottoes and beautiful caves, some of which you’ll get to visit. Enjoy a wonderful dinner on board.

Day 13: Halong Bay – Hanoi – Hoi An

Continue Halong Bay tour today with a morning cruising to the Man’s Head and Tortoise Islands. Then discover Luon Cave by small bamboo boat. After lunch, admire mysterious Bai Tu Long and Bai Chay beaches. Your driver and guide will transfer you back to Hanoi to take a flight to Danang. On arrival, you wil be transferred to the Hoi An ancient town.

Day 14: Hoi An Walking Tour

    Deposit Information

    • A deposit of NZ$99 per person upon booking to secure your travel date (non-refundable after 48 hours of booking for any reason).
    • Final Payment is due at least 60 days prior to departure. Once this payment is made, any prior payment is strictly non-refundable.
    • If the Final Payment is not completed by the due date, your booking will be cancelled and all prior payments are strictly non-refundable.
    • Invoices will be sent to you through Email, please take responsibility to ensure payments are made on time.

Airline

  • International and regional flights from New Zealand by Air New Zealand, Vietnam Airlines & Laos Airlines (including 1 x 30 kg checked baggage and 7 kg hand baggage per passenger).
  • Customers must send us the electrical copy of passport by scanning or taking the first page of your passport. By this way, we could secure the accuracy of your personal information to make proper reservation for you.
  • The airfare is non-refundable at all times.

Flights

  • Flight itineraries will be provided only 30 days prior to departure. If you book our tour packages within 30 days, your flight itinerary will be provided within 7 days.
  • Airline schedule may change or cancel before the itinerary and it is beyond our control. We will try utmost to assist our customers, however, the customers are also responsible for reviewing your flight schedule prior to the departure. Moreover, you can contact your Travel Insurance provider to check whether you are covered by your policy.

Arriving early/Extending your trip: NZ$165 per person for trip extension or early arrivals. If you wish to extend your trip, please note in your Booking Form then we will provide quotations for you. The fee above is just administrative only, no service included.
